Lovers Day Move Review
Lovers Day Tagline:
Priya Prakash Varrier wink cannot save this disaster film
Lovers Day Story:
Priya (Priya Prakash Varrier) and Roshan (Roshan Abdul Rahoof) meet each other at the freshers day party of their 11th grade. They look at each other and feel an attraction towards each other. Roshan tries hard to impress Priya. Meanwhile, Gadha (Noorin Shereef), Roshan's best friend ends up having feelings for him.
If we were thinking that this would turn into a triangle love story, director Omar Lulu has packed an unexpected ending to Oru Adaar Love? Will Priya leave Roshan and go? Will Gadha confess her love to Roshan? What will happen to their future? The answers to these questions forms the crux of the story.
Lovers Day Positives:
There were so much hype around Priya Prakash's role being extended after she shot to national fame with her iconic wink. But, it is very much clear that, Priya isn't that great an actor or can’t even consider as good actor and has so much scope for improvement.
Roshan Abdul Rahool with his lively expressions lives up the role of a school boy and sometimes his antics are enough to convey his love for the girls. His equation with Gadha is the besr part of Lovers Day.
Apart from Priya and Roshan, Noorin Shereef is the show stealer as he was exceptionally well in her character. Her role is mature and her expressions are so matured that you don't see her as a debut artist. In fact, we can say that she is the actual hero of Lovers Day.
Lovers Day Negatives:
Priya Prakash Varrier's role is complete disappointment. As to everyone’s surprise she has very limited screentime, but one also gets feeling that she also has limited expressions.
The climax of the movie completely a let-down. Omar Lulu has tried to bring up emotions there from nowhere, but the thing is there is no strong backing or writing in the climax as to why such things are happening.
At some Some point of time, we feel so pissed of because all we are shown are school guys talking only about love and romance. If the director had managed to capture the innocence and true feelings of these guys, it would have been better.
Lovers Day Verdict:
Lovers Day , directed by Omar Lulu, could have been at least a decent film on high school romance. But, it’s pointless screenplay and immature writing ruins it big time.
