Majili Movie Review
Majili Movie Tagline:
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya shine in an emotional love story.
Majili Movie Story:
Purna (Naga Chaitanya) is passionate about cricket and aims to make it to the Indian team. As he works towards his goal, he meets Anshu (Divyansha Kaushik) and they both fall in love together. However, destiny doesn't let them end up together.
Purna and Anshu are separated which pushes him to depression and he resorts to full-time. For his father, he agrees to marry Sravani (Samantha), who is blindly in love with him. Will Purna realise her love? Will they lead a happy life? Watch Majili to know the answers.
Majili Movie Performance:
Naga Chaitanya as grief-stricken Purna has given his best performance till date. His expressions are on point. Be it happiness or sadness, he has conveyed everything with his eyes.
Divyansha Kaushik is a total surprise as she has delivered a natural performance and could easily be the best performer in the film. As a Delhi-bred girl, she looks gorgeous in every frame.
Samantha has once again delivered a rounded performance in Majili. Her expressions are subtle yet impact us extremely well. Her performance in the climax needs a special mention.
Rao Ramesh and Posani Murali Krishna bring the much-needed laughs in this otherwise emotional film.
Majili Movie Positives:
Director Shiva Nirvana's strength lies in showing complex relationships with conviction and determination. In Majili, too, he has done the same, which is giving importance to emotions.
Naga Chaitanya's portions with Divyansha Kaushik are refreshing to watch and brings some lightness to the heavy-handed film.
Shiva Nirvana has also shown Naga Chaitanya in a heroic way, especially in stunt sequences with the help of slo-mo shots.
The second half is packed with emotions and sad and funny moments as well. The strength of Majili lies in the second half.
Majili Movie Negatives:
The film's runtime is a huge hindrance as it already moves at a slow pace. There are several scenes that we have already seen in films of the same genre.
Also, there are a few logical loopholes that will put the audience off in the latter half of the movie.
Majili Movie Verdict:
Majili is an emotional love story, as promised the makers. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have given a summer entertainer, which has a few flaws.
