From a last couple of days, it is being reported in media that Daggubati Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya's film Venky Mama will release during Sankranthi festive season next year. This confirmed its clash with other big films like Sarileru Neekevvaru, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo and Darbar.
But the latest reports from the tinsel town revealed that the makers of Venky Mama have opted out of the Pongal race after discussing with various exhibitors and distributors. Already, there are three big films lined up for Sankranthi release. If Venky Mama joins them, there will be a disturbance in theatre distribution which will ultimately affect the fate of all other films.
Thus, the makers have taken back the decision of releasing Venky Mama during Sankranthi. The film will now most likely releases on the 6th of December. An official confirmation on this is yet to make. Directed by KS Ravindra(Bobby), Venky Mama features Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna as the female leads.
