2023 Critics Choice Awards: SS Rajamouli Meets James Cameron; Discloses To Have Seen RRR Twice: ‘I Am On Top Of The World’
Rajamouli met James Cameron, the director of Avatar: The Way of Water, at the awards ceremony, and said he suggested RRR to his wife as well.

RRR, a movie by director SS Rajamouli, continues to generate headlines for all the right reasons. Following its victory at the 2023 Golden Globes, RRR won the Best Foreign Language Film award at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. Rajamouli met James Cameron, the director of Avatar: The Way Of Water, at the awards ceremony, and said he suggested RRR to his wife as well.
The film's director, S. S. Rajamouli, posted pictures of their chat. He remarked,
M.M. Keeravani met the director while accepting the Critics Choice Award for Best Song for 'Naatu Naatu'. He also uploaded a picture with the caption,
At the ceremony, Rajamouli thanked 'the women in my life,' including his mother, as he won the Best Foreign Language Film award. Rajamouli said of his mother, “She thought school education was overrated and she encouraged me to read comics and storybooks, and she encouraged my creativity”. He thanked his wife, Rama Rajamouli, a costume designer. “More than that, she’s the designer of my life”, he added.
The Best Song award went to 'Naatu Naatu.' The award was accepted by M.M. Keeravani. The movie has already generated buzz for the 2023 Academy Awards as it was nominated in 15 categories. The Academy Awards 2023 have shortlisted RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' for Best Original Song. For the Oscars campaign, the RRR team is now in Los Angeles. They just held a special screening for Academy members.
