Actor Nitish Bharadwaj is popular for his roles in the mythological serials Mahabharat and Vishnu Puran. During those days, people used to recall his face whenever they though about Lord Vishnu and his avatars. Such was the impact created by Nitish. Speaking in a recent Instagram chat session, Nitish revealed how actresses Hema Malini and Roopa Ganguly failed to recognize him during the days of Vishnu Puran.Nitesh said that one day, Roopa Ganguly visited the sets of Vishnu Puran to meet him and the show's director, Ravi Chopra. She was in the early stages of her career at that time and was working in Bengali films. When she visited, Nitesh was in the getup of Parasurama. He was resting during the shot-break. Roopa was sitting beside him all the time but failed to recognize Nitesh. Nitesh also kept mum. When she got done talking with Ravi Chopra, she asked the latter about Nitesh. Then, she was utterly shocked when Ravi Chopra revealed that Nitesh is sitting beside her all the time. The same incident happened with Hema Malini once. One day, Nitesh and Hema happened to travel on the same flight. During their conversation, Hema asked Nitesh about how did Ravi Chopra manage to cast a similar person for Parasurama's role. She also added that that person had similar eyes like Nitesh. Nitesh jokingly said that Ravi had auditioned about 60 actors for that role. After a few days, Hema found out the truth. Then, she called up Nitesh and they had a laugh on how he had put her in a spot.Nitesh said that he had to make sure to look in a different way for the role of Parasuram. Thus, he attained that angry and violent role, which is quite different from the other roles he played in the past. Meanwhile, Vishnu Puran is all set to re-telecast on Zee Classic from today.
