Chiranjeevi all set to turn Byreddy for his next film

Chiranjeevi, post wrapping up Acharya, will begin shooting for the Telugu remake of Lucifer.

It is known that the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer is being remade in Telugu. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial has won many hearts in Malayalam. Megastar Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in this film and will be stepping into the shoes of Mohanlal to reprise the role he played in the original.
 
In this film, Mohanlal played Stephen Gattupally and Abram Qureshi who is a powerful politician and a mafia don respectively. So Chiranjeevi will also be playing the same role in the Telugu remake and as per the Telugu nativity, he is said to be turning Byreddy, a politician. Initially, it was said that Sujeeth will be directing the film. But later, he was replaced with VV Vinayak. Now, the latest update is that Vinayak has also been replaced and the truth is that Tamil director Mohan Raja will be directing this esteemed project. An official confirmation is awaited.
 
The film will go on floors after Chiranjeevi wraps up Achaya which is still underway. The film will be produced by none other than Ram Charan Tej and is said to be one of the prestigious projects of the Mega family.
 
Details of the other members of the cast and technical crew is yet to be revealed.
