Chiyaan Vikram opts out of Mahavir Karna
Chiyaan Vikram has opted out of Mahavir Karna, which is tipped to be directed by RS Vimal.

Chiyaan Vikram is currently in Moscow, Russia, shooting for his upcoming film Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. After wrapping up the film, he will join the sets of director Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, which is a period drama. Earlier, Vikram had reported that he had signed a mega-budget film titled Mahavir Karna, which will be directed by RS Vimal. However, the film's production came to a standstill due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. On February 23, the makers of Mahavir Karna released the film's title logo of the film.Vikram's fans were in for a surprise to find his name missing from the credits of the film. According to reports, Vikram has walked out of the film due to date clashes. If reports are to be true, Vikram will get busy with the shooting of Ponniyin Selvan, which is yet another film on the lines of Mahavir Karna. Both films are period dramas and hence Vikram decided towalk out of the film. The untitled film will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani. The film is based on Mahabharata and the story will be told from the perspective of Suryaputa Mahavir Karna.
