Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela recently forayed into production with a new web series under her production house Gold Box Entertainment.
The web series was to revolve around a true-life story about cops and criminals. The web series was to feature actor Prakash Raj in a crucial role. Director Anand Ranga was to return after an eleven-year hiatus to direct the web series. Gold Box Entertainment was to make the web series in association with the OTT platform Zee5. Unfortunately, the director Anand Ranga of Oy! fame has now canned the web series.
The reason for canning the show is none other than the novel coronavirus. The shooting had commenced in Hyderabad recently. Even after taking at most care and precaution, a member of the team tested positive for COVID-19. Sushmita has ensured that all the team members have gotten tested for the coronavirus. The team members are now waiting for the results while in isolation for the next 14 days.
Sushmita, who was very happy and eager to launch her own production is now quite disappointed. Several films and television shows have had to face halting or cancellation owing to the coronavirus outbreak. Sushmita's cop drama also joins the list.
Sushmita had previously worked on her father's films Khaidi No 150 and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy as a costume designer. Her brother Ram Charan had bankrolled both the films under his production house Konidela Production Company. The production house is also bankrolling Chiranjeevi's upcoming film Acharya. Ram Charan will also appear in an important role in the film.
