Deepshika Opens Up On Her Role In Ranjit Jeyakodi's Michael

Ranjith Jeyakodi's Michael featured Sundeep Kishan and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The film also featured Gautham Vasudev Menon, Divyansha Kaushik, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in crucial roles. I thank Ranjith Jeyakodi sir for this great opportunity. Initially, this role was supposed to be played by another leading actress. She couldn’t make it at the last minute due to some reasons. That’s when Ranjith Jeyakodi approached and asked me if I could do this role. The one-liner about my character instantly attracted me to this project, and I got into it without any second thoughts. The entire film revolves around my character ‘Jenifer’. During the narration itself, I could easily predict that it will have a good impact on the audience. Director Ranjith Jeyakodi made sure that my character appears now and then in the first half and in the film’s climax.' She further added, 'I got an opportunity to act along with talented actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Sundeep Kishen, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. During the shoot, Gautham Vasudev Menon sir completely transformed into an actor, and he was so cordial with everyone on the sets. Many scenes involving me and Vijay Sethupathi were filmed but were removed due to length issues. Vijay Sethupathi is a natural actor and respects everyone so equally. While shooting the jail sequences, he would voluntarily walk towards the crowd of artists in the backdrops, and give inputs for them to showcase their acting abilities, which surprised me a lot. '
