Dhanush Resumes Shoot Of Final Schedule Of Director Karthick Naren's Maaran

Dhanush was last seen in director Karthick Subbaraj's Jagame Thandhiram. The film, produced by Y NOT Sashikanth, was initially slated to release in theatres. However, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the makers decided to release it on directly n Netflix. Post-Jagame Thandhiram, Dhanush wrapped up the shooting of his next Hollywood film, The Gray Man, which will also release on Netflix. Soon after wrapping up MThe Gray Man, Dhanush joined the shoot of director Karthick Naren's Maaran in Hyderabad. The makers shot for almost a month in Hyderabad, which was followed by a short schedule in Chennai. The latest development is that the shooting of director Karthick Naren's Maaran resumed today, September 30. According to director Karthick Naren's tweet, this is the final schedule. Maaran is tipped to be an investigative thriller with Dhanus and Malavika Mohanan playing the roles of journalists. Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, and Krishnakumar have been roped in to play supporting roles in the film. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film has music composed by GV Prakash. Lyricist Vivek and Karthick Naren will pen the lyrics for the songs. Soon, Maaran's release date will be announced by the makers once the shooting is completed.
