Enforment Directorate Summons Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet In 4-Year-Old Drug Case

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Rakul Preet Singh Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh, among others, in the four year old Tollywood drug racket case.

Four years ago, the Tollywood drug racket made headlines and dragged several big names from the industry. The case is still going on as the Enforcement Directorate has summoned 12 Tollywood actors and directors for investigation. Rakul Preet, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Mumaith Khan are some of the celebrities who have been summoned. While Rakul has been asked to appear on September 6, Rana and Ravi Teja will appear on September 8 and 9, respectively. The 23 actors and directors were initially questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in 2017.
A high-end drug racket was busted in 2017 and the officials found about the involvement of several actors and directors. the SIT had then collected hair and nail samples of 62 suspects including the celebrities. Reportedly, these 12 stars have been summoned as witnesses in the case. So far, the SIT has not filed any chargement against any celebrity. Rafael Alex Victor, a South African National was arrested b the SIT for allegedly supplying cocaine. The actors and directors will be asked questions related to some film parties and the consumption of prohibited substances.
