Fahadh Faasil's fans are in for a treat as two fo his films are lined up for release in just a week. His film Irul hit the screens on Netflix today (April 2) and opened to mixed reviews. Later in the day, the trailer of Fahadh Faasil's Joji was released by the makers. As reported earlier, Joji is based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. Fahadh essays the role of Joji, who is good for nothing, according to his father. How he becomes rich and earns respect forms the story. Joji will directly release on Amazon Prime Video on April 7.

Writer Syam Pushkaran, who has penned the story of Joji, said, 'Joji is a very interesting character who is inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The character is from the play but with a contemporary twist making it more realistic for the present generation. It is both exciting and challenging to re-create a character from a classic; however, Fahadh has aced Joji’s character with utmost perfection in the film. I am thrilled that audiences across the globe will get to witness our inspiration of the tragedy through the Amazon Prime Video.'
