From Toofaan To Hostel Daze, Amazon Prime Announces 8 Shows And Films For July 2021

Amazon Prime has released 8 new titles for its July calendar which includes films and shows like Toofan, Ikkat, Hostel Daze and more

To celebrate the month of July 2021, streaming platform Amazon Prime Video has announced Prime Day, which includes back-to-back eight big releases. The upcoming eight titles belong to various languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, etc. The list also has Farhan Akhtar's sports-drama film Toofaan which had its trailer released last week. Here's the full list of titles releasing soon to mark Prime Day 2021.
 
Tom and Jerry
 
Your favorite cartoon Tom and Jerry is returning as an animated film that got released in theatres early this year. The film is now premiering on a digital platform and the classic Tom and Jerry chase is coming soon to entertain you. This time the rivals have moved to the city of New York where the wedding planner hires Tom to get rid of Jerry, however the events, as usual, soon turn the big event into a chaotic but fun-to-watch tale. The film has been directed by Tim Story and it'll be streaming on the app from July 8th.


 
Toofaan
 
This Hindi film marks the second collaboration of Farhan Akhtar with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the blockbuster Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Toofaan is also a sports drama that tells the story of an orphan boy who's forced to become a goon but soon finds the right path to become a national-level boxer with assistance from his love interest. Toofaan will be streaming on the app from July 16th.


 
Malik
 
Malik is a Malayalam political thriller starring Fahadh Faasil playing the role of a leader bestowed with immense love and respect from the people of his community. He later rights against the high powers who misuse their positions to affect the lives of the common people. Malik will be streaming from July 15th. The trailer is already well-received by the audience who are excited for the big release.


 
Ikkat
 
Ikkat is Kanada comedy-drama film. The tale is a hilarious one following the life of a couple during the COVID-19 pandemic times. The film stars Nagamshana, a comedian who will be seen in playing an interesting role in the film along with Bhoomika Shetty. Ikkat is directed by Eesham and Haseen Khan and will stream from July 21st.

 
Sarpatta Parambarai
 
Sarpatta Parambarai is a Tamil period sports-drama film starring Arya, Sanchana Nataranjan, and Dushara Vijayan. It is set in the 1970s Madras and follows the story of a clash between two clans named Sarpaya Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambarai. The film is directed by Pa Ranjith and will be streaming from July 22nd.


 
Hostel Daze Season 2
 
Following the story of four mates – Ankit, Jaat, Jhantoo, and Chirag – Hostel Daze Season 2 takes the narrative forward. Just the first one, this season will also have their fun adventurous tale inside the hostel of an engineering college.


 
Judas and The Black Messiah
 
Judas and The Black Messiah released in Feb this year and is now making its entry on the Amazon Prime Video. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Lekeith Stanfield, and more actors in this American biographical drama. The synopsis of the film reads, 'Offered a plea deal by the FBI, William O'Neal infiltrates the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to gather intelligence on Chairman Fred Hampton.' It will be streaming from July 25th.


 
The Prime Day Show
 
This special show is three-part series starring award-winning artists like Billie Eilish, H.E.R., and Kid Cudi giving the audience a musical experience. This is directed by Billie Eilish and Sam Wrench and will be streaming from July 8th.
