Daggubati Venkatesh gives clarity on his upcoming lineup of projects which includes the remake of Asuran with Srikanth Addala.
Victory Venkatesh came back to form in style by scoring a blockbuster with F2 earlier this year. The comedy caper collected a gross of more than Rs.100 crores at the box office and became the biggest hit in Venky's career. Now, the actor is prepping up for the release of his next film Venky Mama, which will hit the theatres on the 13th of December.
Directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby), this family drama features Naga Chaitanya
as the other lead hero. Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna
are the leading ladies of this movie. Venky said that apart from lots of comedy, the film also has an ample amount of emotional quotient.
After Venky Mama's release, Venkatesh will start shooting for the Telugu remake of Asuran. Srikanth Addala will be helming this project. Speaking about the film, Venkatesh said that he took only half an hour to decide on doing this project. He said that he has never done this kind of role before and is eagerly waiting to start shooting for it soon.
Venky was also supposed to do the remake of Hindi hit, De De Pyaar De. But the actor said that they have now dropped that idea as the script needed a lot of changes to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audiences.
