The day when it was announced that Upasana Kamineni was going to marry Ram Charan Tej Konidela, many social media users and fans of the Mega family criticized her. Upasana received a lot of hatred from Mega fans. Some people even wrote that she doesn’t look like a woman at all and lacks those feminine features.
Upasana wasn’t active on social media back then. So she never responded to any of those comments on her. A couple of years ago, Upasana was interviewed by a leading Tamil news portal where she was asked about the hatred and criticized.
“I was technically challenged then. This was in 2012. So I didn't know that I was being trolled for how I looked then. I never knew that people were making fun of me. Only when later, some of my dear ones told me about it, I came to know. I even heard that they felt sorry for Ram Charan,” said the entrepreneur.
She further added, “All those who might have passed comments on me. I don't even know who they are and there's no chance that they would know me in person. So no way their comments would affect me.”
Upasana and Ram Charan Tej are one of the most talked-about couples of Tollywood and down the south as well. The couple recently celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary. Also, a couple of days ago was her birthday and she was given the tile of Mega Highness by those Mega fans who have criticized her long back. This young lady, who is an epitome of hard work, has always stood by Ram Charan like a rock through all his ups and downs.
