Janhvi Kapoor Has Not Signed A Tamil Film; Boney Kapoor Clears The False Rumours

On Friday, producer Boney Kapoor used Twitter to dispel rumors about his daughter Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming Tamil film debut. He made it clear that the actress currently has no Tamil film commitments. Additionally, the producer asked that 'false rumors' about Janhvi's Tamil debut not be spread by the media. Janhvi, who most recently appeared in the survival thriller Mili (2022), has not yet formally agreed to work on any projects in the south Indian film industries. According to recent rumors, Janhvi has been asked to play Arya's opposite in Paiyaa 2, which will be directed by N Linguswamy. Boney Kapoor responded to the rumors that Janhvi would make her Tamil film debut on Friday's Twitter. He said, “Dear media friends. This is to bring to your notice that Janhvi Kapoor has not committed to any Tamil films at the moment, requesting not to spread false rumors.' Meanwhile, there are rumors that Janhvi Kapoor may star opposite Jr. NTR in the upcoming, as-yet-untitled film from director Koratala Siva. The movie represents Jr NTR and Siva's first collaboration since Janatha Garage. Janhvi has reportedly already agreed to the project. The creators have not yet made a formal announcement, though. The producers previously disclosed that Janhvi might have made her Telugu film debut in Liger, Puri Jagannadh's national film of India, opposite Vijay Deverakonda (2022). The movie was eventually given to Ananya Panday. Janhvi has expressed her desire to work with Telugu actors, particularly Vijay Deverakonda and Jr. NTR. She stated in a 2022 interview with The Hindu. “NTR Jr, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, I’d like to work with all of them. They are so talented and the kind of movies that come out from the Telugu industry is huge. One of my all-time favorite Telugu movies is Bommarillu featuring Genelia and Sidharth. I must’ve watched it several times. I also loved Pokiri and Janatha Garage. NTR Jr is such a fine actor.” Janhvi Kapoor's most recent appearance was in the survival thriller Mili. It is the Boney Kapoor-produced version of the Malayalam classic Helen. Janhvi will then appear in Dostana 2. She also has Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao and Bawaal with Varun Dhawan.
