Kamal Haasan is thrilled to collaborate with Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil for his upcoming film Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recently, Fahadh Faasil was spotted in Chennai and a selfie he took with Kamal Haasan went viral on social media. Fahadh Faasil was last seen in director Mahesh Narayanan's Malik, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Fahadh Faasil and Mahesh Narayanan organized a special private screening of Malik to Kamal Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj at a film studio in Chennai. The film's producer, Anto Joseph, took to social media to share a photo of Lokesh, Kamal, Fahadh, and Mahesh Narayanan.
 
After watching Malik, Kamal Haasan was all praises for director Mahesh Narayanan's work in the film. He also appreciated Fahadh Faasil's performance in the film. Lokesh Kanagaraj, who watched the film with Kamal, felt that if Malik had been released in theatres, it would have been a sure-shot hit venture. Now, it is unclear if Fahadh Faasil has started shooting for director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram with Kamal. As of now, Vijay Sethupathi and Kamal Haasan are shooting for their portions in Chennai. The film is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.
