One of the experienced performers in the Hindi cinema industry is Anupam Kher. He is the former head of FTII. Additionally, he has received eight Filmfare Awards and two National Film Awards. Kher recently discussed his relationship with well-known filmmakers Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar. Kher emphasised that he is not involved with any of the movies made or helmed by any of these well-known directors. He is not making them responsible for the same.
Anupam Kher stated in a conversation with Times Now NavBharat, “I am not a part of mainstream cinema in India today. I am not. I am not doing any Karan Johar films. I am not doing any Sajid Nadiadwala films. I am not doing any Aditya Chopra films because the offers have not come. I was a darling of all these people. I have done everybody’s films. But I am not blaming them for not casting me anymore.”
He continued by saying that he misses the times he worked on projects with these well-known directors and wonders why things have changed so much since then. “I do feel disturbed to know as to why these popular filmmakers do not cast me in their films. But, I have no grudges or complaints against them. I am rediscovering myself as an actor,”
Kher appeared recently as a guest in Karthikeya 2 by Nikhil Siddhartha. The mystery-adventure film in Tamil was created and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Parineeti Chopra, is one of Anupam's forthcoming movies. He will also appear in Kangana Ranaut's Emergency as Jayaprakash Narayan.
