Kareena Kapoor Opens Up : “Calling The LGBTQ Community 'Different' Is Something I Don't Like”

Actress Kareena Kapoor says that she will raise her children as open minded as she can.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently getting back to the industry after her second delivery. So far, Kareena is busy inculcating good values in her sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh. Kareena Kapoor says that she will raise her kids open-minded. Kareena said that every people are the same, despite class or gender. Kareena said that calling the LGBTQ community different is something she doesn’t like.
Speaking to the Filmfare, Kareena said that she will discuss the topic of LGBTQ with her children. “Even calling them (those from the LGBTQ community) 'different' is something I don't like. We are one. That's the whole idea. Why are people even saying that 'this is different? No! We're all the same na with our hearts, lungs, and liver so why are we seeing them in any other way? That's the way I think and that's the way I'll always bring up my boys to think also;” said Kareena.
Kareena Kapoor added that she will raise her children in a way that they can accept diversity. She added that Kareena and her husband Saif have a lot of friends from the LGBTQ community.
“I love you guys! I love the fact that you always shower me with so much love. I'm all for transparency and both Saif and I are people who live life transparently and have friends all over the world from the LGBTQ community. We are open-hearted and open-minded and that's the way I look forward to bringing up my children. We talk to them about issues about the community and I feel that's how it should be,” Kareena added.
Meanwhile, Kareena will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, a film starring Aamir Khan. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, will have its release on February 14 of next year.
