Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha appears to have surrendered to the cancel culture yet again. Following widespread calls for a boycott of the movie since it has Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leads. The Punjab screening of the movie recently came under attack. The theatrical showing of the movie in Jalandhar was attempted to be stopped by a fringe organization called Shiv Sena Hind. They ground that it offended religious feelings. Another group, the Sikh Tal-Mel Committee, intervened to the rescue, though.

According to accounts, Shiv Sena Hind attempted to interrupt the screening of Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie had just been released, at the PVR Cinemas in Jalandhar's MBD Mall. The extremist group continued by referring to Aamir Khan as an anti-Hindu. They urging viewers to boycott the entire movie. They asked that the movie be prevented from playing in theatres. Even sent a letter requesting this to the police. The letter reportedly ended up being given to the DCP.

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were accused of making anti-national sentiments during the recent social media trending topic 'Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha.' But during one of the film's events, Aamir Khan addressed the matter and expressed his grief over how people view him as being anti-national.
