Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect To Release On April 1, 2022

Madhavan will make his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.

R Madhavan has been taking his sweet time to do films in the last few years. After Irudhi Suttru (Saala Khadoos in Hindi). After Irudhi Suttru, Madhavan went on to challenge himself as he donned the director's hat. He will be making his debut as a director with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is a biopic based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Nambi Narayanan was falsely accused of espionage in 1994. Later, the court quashed the case and pronounced Nambi Narayanan not guilty.
Apart from donning the director's hat, Madhavan also doubled up as a hero in the film. He underwent a drastic physical transformation to play the aged role of Nambi Narayanan. Now, the makers of Rocketry have announced the film's release date. According to the latest announcement, Rocketry will release in in theatres on April 1, 2022. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect also stars Simran, Rajit Kaur, Ravi Raghavendra, and Atul Kulkarni in important roles. While Suriya has played a cameo in the Tamil version, Shah Rukh Khan played a cameo in Hindi and English versions of Rocketry. The film was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
