Om Raut yesterday noted on Twitter that there are just 150 days until the release of his epic saga Adipurush. He posted a few pictures along with the words 'Jai Shri Ram' and the verse 'Shri Ram Kaaj Karibe Ko Aatur' from the Hanuman Chalisa. For those who don't know, Hanuman was Lord Ram's greatest devotee. Hanuman Chalisa is an expression of the lord's love and devotion.

, Raut captioned the tweet.
Adipurush was originally scheduled to premiere in January of this year. However, the release date was delayed to improve the final aesthetics. “Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Sri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16, 2023. We are committed to make a film that India is proud of. Your support, love, and blessings is what keeps us going”, remarked Raut upon announcing this news last year.
Unconfirmed rumours of Adipurush being pushed even further at the close of the previous year were implicitly put to rest by Raut's tweet.
Adipurush's teaser, which debuted in October of last year, received harsh criticism for its visual effects and production values. Consequently, it is hypothesized that this may be the cause of the film's postponement from January to June. Raut had stated after the teaser's special screening, “I was disheartened for sure, not surprised because the film is made for a larger medium – the big screen.”
Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan play Ram, Sita, and Raavan, respectively, in the movie Adipurush.
