Opinion: Pooja Hegde Sets A Sad Example In Tollywood

The harsh truth is that any actor is considered to be at the top of their game until they deliver successful films. Once a string of flops starts, things look completely different for them. This is now the state of Pooja Hegde, who seems to be setting a sad example in Tollywood. Until the end of 2021, the actress gave back-to-back hit films, even giving Akhil Akkineni the first hit of his career in the form of Most Eligible Bachelor. In 2022, the actress' fate changed drastically. Pooja delivered back-to-back flops in 2022, in the form of Radhe Shyam, Beast, Acharya, and Cirkus. All these films turned out to be huge disasters at the box office, not even making back half of their budgets. With the exception of F3, in which she was seen in just a special song, the actress had a very bad career graph last year. Now, with the exception of Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and SSMB28, the actress doesn't have any other films in her hand. Moreover, Pooja's remuneration was said to be around 3 to 3.5 Crores at the peak of her career. With back-to-back flops, the actress has reportedly had to cut down her remuneration by a lot. This is a sad reality indeed, but it is exactly how showbiz works, as anyone would only naturally want to work with those who would give them profits. It is to be seen how Pooja's graph this year will be.
