Raja Krishna Menon directorial Pippa, a war drama starring Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli, was set to premiere in March of this year. The cast and producers agreed not to shoot during the second wave of the Covid19. The schedule was pushed back due to this.
Now, it appears that the cast will begin filming in September. The performers are expected to begin reading sessions in mid-August, reported a daily. From August onwards, the cast will become acquainted with the tale and prepare for battle and combat action scenes. Raja Krishna Menon directs the film. His previous works include films like Bas Yun Hi Barah Aana and Airlift.
This partnership is led by Airlift filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon and is based on the book 'The Burning Chaffees.” The book is written by combat veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Brigadier Mehta is a veteran of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. Ishaan will play the role in Pippa.
Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, and Raja Krishna Menon wrote the script for Pippa. The film depicts young Mehta's and the nation's coming-of-age story. Both stepped up to prove themselves in a fight for the liberation of the country. Captain Mehta rose to the situation and led his forces to victory, paving the way for India's victory.
Ishaan Khattar is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He is famous for the films Beyond The Clouds(2017) and Dhadak(2018).
