Poonam Kaur files a complaint about the morphed audio clips on 36 YouTube channels
Telugu film actress Poonam Kaur has filed a complaint against the YouTube channels with the Hyderabad cyber crime police on Thursday. The actress alleged that few people have deliberately uploaded defamatory content on the video sharing platform to target her personal life and damage her reputation.
Into details, videos revealing the audio clips of Poonam Kaur talking about actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan went viral on YouTube recently. She alleged that some unidentified people have morphed her audio clippings and posted online. “Some people are trying to target me because of their political agendas. I don’t understand what fun they get by affecting a woman’s life so much,” said Poonam talking to the media.
“Whatever I went through in these two years, I wish that no woman should undergo. I complained to the police about the online harassment I was facing for the last two years and requested them to take action against those responsible for this and take down the links,” she added.
Raghuveer, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime said that they registered a case on her complaint and will take necessary action after verifying the links and taking the legal opinion.
