Director SS Rajamouli managed to achieve a rare feat in the Indian film industry with the Baahubali franchise. He made the franchise the biggest success in the country's film history. Now, he managed to create new records with his last film RRR, featuring NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. The film won the Best Original Song award at the Golden Globes this year, for Naatu Naatu. The song has been nominated in the same category at the Oscars this year as well. RRR completed 100 day theatrical run in Japan, which is another record, and now, the film is close to collecting more than one billion Japanese Yen at the box office. The film will become the first-ever Indian film to do so in the Japanese market, making that a new record for the film.

RRR has been making international waves ever since it was released last year, in March. The film has been awing the audiences, for the way it has been handled, and for the kind of friendship that was displayed through the characters of Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and NTR portrayed these characters respectively. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is the leading lady of this film, which also marked her Tollywood debut.

Hollywood actors Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody are also a part of the film. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani were seen in key roles in the movie. The entire team of RRR is expected to be present at the Oscars this year.
