Rashmika Mandanna is a famous heroine in the Kannada and Telugu industry. Though she has done films in these two languages, she has a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu, thanks to Geetha Govindham and Dear Comrade with Vijay Deverakonda. For a long time, the audience in Tamil Nadu requested Rashmika to do a Tamil film. Their request gets fulfilled as Rashmika signed a Tamil film titled Sulthan opposite Karthi, which will be directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. The trailer of Sulthan was launched on March 24 in a grand manner in Chennai.
Rashmika, who wore a beautiful ivory saree to the event, impressed everyone by speaking in Tamil. While addressing the gathering, she was all praises for her co-star Karthi. She said, 'Besides him being a co-star, I also found a friend in Karthi. Thank you sir…I should thank you only for your existence, that’s all. The world needs more people like him and Baaki sir. I’m so happy that I worked with him and the whole team.' Sulthan is all set to hit the theatres on April 2 across the country. Producer SR Prabhu trashed rumours regarding a delay in the film's release due to rising Covid-19 cases.
