Shourie Chandrasekhar Ramesh Opens Up About His Directorial Debut Butta Bomma

Butta Bomma, the upcoming romantic thriller directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar Ramesh, will be his directorial debut. The Telugu movie, produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, is set for a February 4 release. Speaking of the film, Ramesh recently revealed how he came to cast Anikha Surendran in the lead part. Ramesh recently spoke with the media regarding his upcoming directorial debut. He stated that he viewed the Malayalam original, enjoyed it, and wished to adopt it in Telugu. “This is a script-based film and can be remade into other languages. So, I adapted it into Telugu,” he said. “When Sithara remade Ayyappanum Koshiyum as Bheemla Nayak, I loved their approach to the film. Navin Nooli is the editor for many Sithara films and I asked him for the possibility to direct the film and the collaboration happened,' he added. Butta Bomma's primary actors are Anikha Surendran, Surya Vashistta, and Arjun Das. The director explained the auditioning process, saying he sought a female performer who could play an innocent persona. “I saw Anikha in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s web series and wanted to cast her in Butta Bomma. Arjun Das is purely Vamshi’s choice and Surya came through an audition,” he said. Ramesh went on to say that they modified the nuances to suit Telugu culture, comedy, and emotions while maintaining the universal idea. He feels that when a true film is made, the viewer will connect with it. “Butta Bomma falls under the romantic thriller genre, so it satisfies lovers of different genres. Music is the highlight of this film. Gopi Sunder did one song and background music for the film. Sweekar Agasthi composes two songs. The background score is wonderful and lifts the mood of the film,” he concluded. Butta Bomma looks to be an intriguing film with intriguing characters and a compelling plotline.
