Skeet Ulrich who plays the role of 'FP' Jones and Marisol Nichols who plays the role of Hermione Lodge are leaving Riverdale.

Reported by a source at the CW to CNN that both the actors are leaving the show once the current season ends. Ulrich plays the role of Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) father. Marisol plays the role of Veronica's (Camila Mendes) mother. Both these actors have been with the show since the beginning of Season 1. They have played a pivotal role in giving the show a direction.

A lot of episodes have revolved around these characters and their past. They have kept the plot moving forward. However, they have now decided to move on and away from the show.

Ulrich released a statement saying, 'I'm incredibly grateful for the friendships I've made on Riverdale, and I will miss seeing everyone on a daily basis. I'm proud to have been part of such a talented group of people, in front of the camera and behind. But I've decided that it's time for me to move on to explore other creative opportunities.'

Marisol also gave a statement to CNN. She said, 'I had an incredible time bringing Hermione Lodge to life and working with my amazing cast, who became family. We had so many wonderful times together during the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We really do have the best fans ever. I am looking forward to the next chapter and am excited about the future.'

With their departure, Riverdale will be losing two of their senior-most and important cast members. Let us see if these actors are replaced or if there is a dramatic turn in store for their characters on the show.
