In lieu of the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19, our Indian cinema celebrities are doing their best to keep their fans entertained. They have been interacting with fans on social media platforms, making educational videos like cooking and workout videos, and also fun videos like tik tok(s) alongside, and also doing interviews from their respective homes. One such effort by the most popular Indian hero, Shah Rukh Khan
, in order to promote his upcoming Netflix series ‘ Betaal,’ is the #SpookSRK challenge. The challenge is trending on twitter because the reward is a video call with the star himself.
Shah Rukh’s tweet regarding the same read as, “ Who doesn’t enjoy a good horror film or series? I know that I do! Since we all have a bit of time on our hands and have binged a lot of shows and films, how about we channel the inner filmmaking ghost in us to make a scary indoor film with an element of horror in it. “ Any camera that you can shoot with. - A prop is readily available at home that can be used spookily - And you. (You can choose to make it with multiple people as well, as long as the rules of social distancing are followed. Email your video entries to firstname.lastname@example.org latest by 18th May. The entries will be judged by Patrick Graham, Vineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra
, and Gaurav Verma. The selected three will be getting on a video call with me and these four awesome people! I will be sending in my film as well. (P.S. Ghosts are welcome to send their entries too.)”
The red chilies entertainment media company recently came out with the trailer for the series, and his fans can't wait to binge it soon. Betaal is set to release on May 24th, 2020 on Netflix. Patrick Graham is the writer of the series. Both Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan collaborated to direct this. Shah Rukh is playing the role of an English Indian Army general.
Since we’ve all got a bit of time on our hands in quarantine, thought I can get us all to work a bit... in a fun, creative and... spooky way! #SpookSRK
