Telugu Biggies Narappa, Drushyam 2 And Virata Parvam Hearing Up For Direct To Digital Release

Interestingly enough, both of Venkatesh Daggubati’s upcoming outings Narappa and Drushyam 2 look set to premiere directly on digit streaming services. It is being said that Narappa will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime video as early as this July. An official announcement on the same is due though. The digital rights of Drushyam 2 are said to be bagged by Amazon Prime Video and the same will be announced by the digital streaming platform in the next few weeks. It is known that the suspense thriller is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam 2. As for Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi’s Virata Parvam, the film is heading for direct to digital release on Netflix. The makers had already initiated talks with Netflix and the deal is likely to be finalized very soon. The sociopolitical thriller will skip theatrical release and stream directly on Netflix. Suresh Productions who are associated with all three of these projects played an instrumental role in the materialization of the OTT deal. They insisted on the OTT release despite the fact that cinema halls across the twin Telugu states are on course to be reopened by the end of July. In all likelihood, Virata Parvam, Drushyam 2, and Narappa will be made available for streaming in the next 2-3 months.
