Superstar Rajinikanth is not only a humongous star in Indian Cinema but also one of the most loved actors in the industry. People love him for the modesty and disciplinary attitude. Meanwhile, there are also a few people who criticize Rajini and also his fans for blindly following him. One of them is popular Tamil director Bharathi Raja.
Of late, Bharati Raja is taking on Rajini, whenever he gets a chance. A few months back, when Rajini announced that he is entering into politics, Raja made a shocking statement on the Lingaa actor. He said that how can Rajini, who is not a Tamilian by birth, can rule the Tamilians. The whole Kollywood got shocked by these bold statements of Bharati Raja. Now, this veteran director has again made harsh statements on Rajini.
Recently, Rajini's film Darbar got released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and ended up as a hit at the box office. The makers said that it grossed more than Rs. 400 crores. But there are a few distributors who claimed that they are in losses and asked Rajini and director Murugadoss for compensation.
Responding to this controversy, Bharathi Raja said how did a film made of Rs. 50 crores collected 400 crores at the box office. If it did, where did the rest Rs.350 crores go and why are the buyers in losses. He also suggested distributors buy the film for a reasonable price and not fetch the quoted amount blindly. The makers of Darbar are yet to respond to these statements.
