Vishal's Chakra movie lands in trouble again

Vishal's upcoming film Chakra, directed by MS Anandan is set for a grand release on February 19. The film, which is tipped to be a thriller will release in four languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra and Robo Shankar in the lead roles. Ever since the film was announced, there has been several troubles. Now, the Madras High Court has stayed the release of Vishal's Chakra due to copyright violations. Chakra follows the story of Ashok Chakra Award winner exposing a crime.
Ravi of Tritan Artists moved to the Madras High Court after he filed a petition accusing the film of plagiarism. The producer claimed that he owns the copyrights of the film. He further revealed that director MS Anandan has signed a contract with him but went ahead and did the film for Vishal's home banner, Vishal Film Factory. The court stayed the release and asked Vishal and director MS Anandan to respond. The case has been adjourned to February 22, Monday. Earlier, Vishal was asked to compensate for the losses incurred by his previous film, Action, which failed to do well at the box office.
