YouTube Originals are now available to all free of cost
YouTube has joined other OTT platform like HBO, Apple TV in making premium content available free

The coronavirus lockdown has left everyone homebound. Entertainment has become a key element during this lockdown. Many OTT platforms like Apple TV, HBO have come forward to make shows and movies available free of cost. YouTube Premier has also joined in and made its original content available free of cost.
Now you can stream over a dozen of YouTube Premium's original shows. Shows such as Escape the Night, Step Up: High Water, Impulse, Foursome and Sherwood are accessible free of cost. Previously the subscription fee for YouTube Premium was Rs 129 per month.
The head of original content Susanne Daniels said, “With a diverse collection of fan-favourite YouTube originals now available to stream for free, we are continuing to promote safety while offering our users of all ages entertainment across the globe”. She added that the content will be available ad-free for even non-paying users.
Along with the above mention shows, these shows will be available for users in the coming weeks. The shows are Are Savvy, Hyperlinked, Fruit Ninja Frenzy Force and Kings of Atlantis. Other shows like Justin Beiber's Seasons and James Charles' Instant Influencer are already available.
YouTube's announcement comes after the announcements by other OTT Platforms such as HBO Now, Amazon Prime etc.
All eyes are now on Indian platforms like HotStar and other such services. Will they also join in on making premium content available free of cost?
