Nagarjuna is a veteran special agent who takes up the responsibility of saving his sister and niece from grave danger from the underworld. Why are they in danger? Can Nagarjuna save them? If yes, then how? The answers to these questions form the main plot. 

The Ghost Review - Analysis

Nagarjuna looks flawless in the role of a veteran special forces officer. He oozes charm and elegance. He also shines in the action sequences. He does his best to salvage this soulless actioner that mostly struggles due to the lethargic screenplay and directionless narrative. The story is agonizingly thin as it solely revolves around an underground-troop attack on a family.

The director Praveen Sattaru almost entirely focuses on the action sequences and he leaves the story and narration for a toss. The film starts off on a slow note with the establishment of the protagonist character and it never really picks up the momentum as we are served more untoward action sequences towards the end of the first half. All the build-up is towards the climax sequence, which is indeed designed well. But a mere 20-minute stretch is not enough to make the entire film compelling. The emphasis is entirely on the climax block which does turn out well but the damage has been done by then and the audience will lose track of the proceedings. Nagarjuna is the shining light in this damp and uninspiring action thriller that has very few things going it's way. Sonal Chauhan has very little screen time. Anikha is decent in her brief role. The rest of the star cast performs to the best of their capabilities. The background score is of decent quality. The visuals are top-notch. The slick cuts and action shots give a rich and diverse feel but the emotional connection is lacking, which plays the spoilsport.

The Ghost Review - Verdict

Ghost is a below-par actioner that has a couple of good action sequences. But the lazy writing and ineffective screenplay act against the cause. Nagarjuna shines in this soulless Praveen Sattaru directorial.
