Review - Story

Writer Padmabhushan is about Padmabhushan, who publishes a book . The book becomes a big hit and he gains a lot of popularity. However, the twist is that he didn't write the book in reality. Who wrote the book and why did that person use Padmabhushan's name forms the rest of the story.

Review - Analysis

Suhas once again proves that he is an exception actor, with his performance in this film. He has that boy next door charm and he carries it with ease, and takes the audience for a ride with this film. He carries the film very well on his shoulders.

Suhas's performance is well aided by that of Ashish Vidhyarthi and Rohini, who play his parents in the film. Ashish Vidhyarthi's character as a man who enjoys his son's success has come out well, with the actor shining in the comedic bits. Rohini gives a very subtle and impactful performance in the film. The two actors most certainly entertain the audience, and only make you want more from them, towards the end of the film.

Leading lady Tina Shilparaj doesn't have a lot to do in the film. Her character could have been written in a much better manner. Certain scenes involving her and Suhas feel too far fetched.

Director and writer Shanmukha Prashanth most certainly came up with an interesting subject that keeps you interested from start to finish. He made it clear that the film is a family entertainer, during the promotions, and the film is exactly. While the proceedings and the film are entertaining on the whole, the first half of the film feels like drags on beyond necessity. Had the director been more crisp with the first half, the movie would have been so much better.

The background music and cinematography of the film are good and prove to be assets for the film. The editing could have been much better, however.

Review - Verdict

Writer Padmabhushan is a family entertainer and has some very good moments. It provides an escape to the audience and can be enjoyed once in the theatres.
