India opener Mayank Agarwal smashed his second double hundred in his eighth Test, bringing it up with a six during the first Test against Bangladesh on Friday. Agarwal became the second Indian after Rohit Sharma to get to double ton with a six. The 28-year-old took 12 innings to hit two double tons, overtaking ex-Australia batsmen Don Bradman (13 innings).

All of Agarwal's three-Test hundreds have come in 2019. Agarwal had made his Test debut in Australia in December 2018. After Team India opener Mayank Agarwal reached 150 runs in the first Test against Bangladesh on Friday, Team India captain Virat Kohli signaled from the dressing room urging Agarwal to go for a double hundred. Agarwal responded to Kohli with a thumbs up. 'Keep Batting BOY...Sure, Skip!' BCCI wrote sharing a video.
