In its latest Government Order(G.O), the Andhra Pradesh government permitted cinema halls across the state to resume operations starting from the 8th of July. This decision comes after the government of Telangana recently permitted cinema theaters to operate with 100% capacity.
The cinema theaters in Andhra Pradesh will have to operate with 50% capacity till further orders regarding the seating capacity. The majority of theaters are expected to resume operations from the above-mentioned date.
With cinemas opening up in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, we can expect quite a few Telugu films to lock-release dates in the next few days. The likes of Acharya, Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, RRR, Radhe Shyam, KGF 2, and others will be hitting the silver screens by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, a Tollywood delegation, led by Chiranjeevi is scheduled to meet with the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and discuss the ticket pricing slab issue.
The delegation will request Jagan to permit flexible ticket pricing in order to facilitate exhibitors and distributors in the state who have already taken a beating financially due to the Covid pandemic and the consequent financial recession. The chief minister will be taking the final very soon and
Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story and Nani’s Tuck Jagadish will be one of the first Telugu biggies to hit the big screens post the second wave of Covid.
