Andhra Pradesh Speaker, Tammineni Sitaram got lashed out by the AP Congress leaders for making abusive comments on their interim president at the centre, Sonia Gandhi.

Reacting on the oppositions' criticism on the Tirumala declaration, Tammineni said, 'Jagan is born and brought in Andhra Pradesh and is a proud citizen of the country. I seriously have no clue why the oppositions are crying foul on the Tirumala declaration. It's Sonia Gandhi who has fake citizenship,' and went on to use an offensive word.

Countering Tammineni's statements, Congress leader Padma Sri raised objections. 'Being in such a constitutional position, Tammineni is misusing it. Is he a speaker or broker?,' said Padma Sri. She along with few more Congress leaders met Vijayawada Police Commissioner Tirumala Rao and lodged a complaint.

'People are hating the language YSRCP ministers and speakers are using against the oppositions. If they continue to do, soon they will get rejected by people. We have urged the police commissioner to file criminal cases against Tammineni and also demand CM YS Jagan to terminate him from the speaker position,' said Padma Sri.
