Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Claims Shah Rukh Khan Messaged Him After He Claimed To Not Know Him

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, recalls actor Shah Rukh Khan messaging him to introduce himself after he claimed not to recognize him. According to the news agency ANI, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed to know Bollywood stars from his time even if he didn't know Shah Rukh. Regarding the actor's message, the CM continued by saying that Shah Rukh wished to speak with him. Recently, the CM had said, 'who is Shahrukh Khan? I don't know anything about him or his film Pathaan'. Reporters had asked him about the violent protest by activists. The protests occurred last week in front of the theatre in Narengi where the actor's movie Pathaan was scheduled to be shown. The Assam Chief Minister stated on Monday, as reported by the news agency ANI, 'I know film stars of my time. I didn't know Shah Rukh. He sent a message and introduced himself- 'I'm Shah Rukh Khan. I want to speak to you. I didn't have time then. So later at 2 am, we spoke and I told him that there'll be no disturbance in Assam (regarding the movie Pathaan).' Shah Rukh allegedly spoke with the Assam chief minister early on Sunday. He expressed concern about a demonstration against Pathaan in Guwahati. He had promised the actor that his government would look into the protest against the film. And make sure 'no such untoward incidents' ever happened again. 'Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film. I assured him that it’s the duty of the state govt to maintain law & order. We’ll enquire and ensure no such untoward incidents,” CM Sarma said on Twitter. Several groups have criticized Pathaan for portraying Deepika Padukone in a saffron bikini in the song Besharam Rang. A portion of the populace has protested around the nation and called for the video to be banned. Siddharth Anand's film Pathaan, which he also directed, will be released on January 25. The movie is a part of the expansive spy universe created by Aditya Chopra. Along with Shah Rukh, the movie also features Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi versions of it will be available.
