If the latest report from ESPN Cricinfo is to be believed, the ongoing season of the Indian Premiere League has been suspended indefinitely.

This decision has been taken in the wake of a surge in Covid cases. Multiple players and staff members have been testing positive for Covid and BCCI deemed it would be inappropriate to continue the season amid a potential Covid outbreak scare.

There is no official update so as to today’s match between SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. SRH’s Wriddhiman Saha has tested positive for Covid and the chances of the game being rescheduled are quite high. An official announcement is awaited though.

Also, reports claim a Delhi Capitals player has also tested positive for Covid. Related details are yet to emerge though.

BCCI is expected to make an official announcement on the suspension of the ongoing season of IPL very soon.
