Covid19 Update: For a change, India sees a spike in Covid-19 recoveries with 31,875 recovered in a day
On a positive note, India sees a record high in recoveries within the last 24 hrs. With over 31000 recoveries, though it is lower than the number of new Covid-19 cases registered in a day across the country.

India recorded 45,601 new cases, taking the country’s caseload to 12, 39,684on Wednesday. A total of 7.84 lakh patients discharged so far, the highest recovery number of 31,875 also being recorded on the same day. With this, the percentage of recovery rate touched 63%.
The number of Covid-19 deaths is close to 30,000 with 1,185 recorded deaths, also West-Bengal saw a spike in this regard with 39 deaths in a day’s span. Kerala also reported 1000 new coronavirus infections, the highest to date in the state. This has prompted the Kerala state CM Pinarayi Vijayan to consider total lockdown in the state.
Also, Manipur will be under total lockdown for 14 days starting from 2 pm today. Several other states in the country extended lockdowns in a bid to contain the spread of novel coronavirus cases. The J&k Government is under a six-day lockdown since yesterday evening, except for Bandipora district. Bhopal also announced the lockdown from July 24 to August 3.
While the governments of various states are imposing lockdowns in a bid to tackle the Covid-19 crisis, many recovered patients are returning to hospitals with heart problems or lung damage. In the latest development across the country, doctors have begun to notice this trend primarily among those who suffered a severe form of the Covid-19 disease.
