The lowest average first wicket partnership in the 2019 Ashes was 12.55. The previous record was set in 1906 when the average was 14.16 in the five-Test series between South Africa and England.Australia fast bowler Pat Cummins has set the world record for taking most wickets in a Test series without picking up a five-wicket haul. The 26-year-old pacer took 29 wickets in the 2019 Ashes, overtaking former Australian bowler Wayne Clark's record of 28 wickets without a five-wicket haul in a Test series. Cummins has taken 118 wickets in 24 Tests.Australia batsman Steve Smith ended his Ashes 2019 campaign with 774 runs in seven innings, registering the most runs by a batsman in a Test series in the last 25 years. The last time a batsman scored more runs in a Test series than Smith's 774 was in 1994 when ex-West Indies captain Brian Lara scored 798 runs against England.Pacer Stuart Broad on Sunday joined the list of bowlers who have the most dismissals of a batsman in a Test series after he claimed David Warner's wicket for the seventh time in the ongoing Ashes 2019. The other pairs include Glenn McGrath's seven dismissals of Mike Atherton in 1997 and Nathan Lyon's seven dismissals of Moeen Ali in 2017/18.Last but not least, England has become the first team in the Test History to bowl-out an opponent in both innings where no wicket-taking bowler from the first innings took a single wicket in the second innings.
