Recently tweeted to Telangana Minister about alleged rampant corruption in the Hyderabad Cricket Association and requested him to intervene to clean it up. He also slammed HCA Chief Mohammad Azharuddin of doing nothing despite informed about the same.

The Hyderabad cricketer became the talk of the town for his ‘3D Glasses’ tweet after he ignored for the 2019 World Cup Team India squad by the selectors, who preferred all-rounder Vijay Shankar over him, despite Rayudu being the first-choice batsman at no.4 for a year.

He was then snubbed for a second time, after Mayank Agarwal called as cover for KL Rahul during the tournament, despite Rayudu being the official replacement for the tournament. This led to him calling time on his cricket career, including domestic cricket as well, citing mistreatment from the selection committee.
