RCB’s new recruit Glenn Maxwell(78) and their Talismanic player Ab de Villiers(76) blasted through the KKR bowling lineup and helped their side post 204 on the board. A whopping 70 runs came in the last five overs of RCB’s innings and that proved to be the difference between the two sides. In response, KKR could score just 166 runs and suffered their second straight defeat in the tournament.
Coming to the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals game, it really was a run feat and close to 400 runs were scored in the same.
Batting first, Punjab scored 195 runs, thanks to brilliant fifties from Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul. But this wasn’t even remotely enough to the batting-heavy Delhi side. Banking on a sensational 49- balls-92-runs innings from Shikhar Dhawan, Delhi Capitals brushed aside Punjab as they chased down the target in just 18.2 overs.
