P Manikyala Rao former Andhra minister and a senior BJP leader succumbs to Corona Virus

The 59-year-old senior BJP leader and former minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pydikondala Manikyala Rao succumbed to Covid-19 while undergoing treatment

Today at a private hospital in Vijayawada, senior BJP leader Pydikondala Manikyala Rao succumbed to COVID-19 while undergoing the treatment. At first, the 59-year-old Ex-Minister was admitted to the COVID Hospital in Eluru. As he developed breathlessness, the senior leader was shifted to a private hospital in Vijayawada, and he was on a ventilator for the past one week.
Pydikondala Manikyala Rao served as Endowments Minister within N Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet from 2014 to 2018, when he became an MLA from Tadepalligudem in 2014.
He was born on November 1, 1961, in Tadepalligudem, and completed college in Pentapadu where he joined RSS and became a dedicated member.
Describing him as a great leader, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy issued orders to the West Godavari district collector to perform the last rites of the senior BJP leader with state honours.
Expressing shock over the senior leader’s sudden demise BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said that Pydikondala Manikyala Rao was a friendly personality and that he had served a lot to the party.
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said that he was shocked upon hearing the news of Manikyala Rao’s sudden demise. He conveyed his condolences to the latter's family and expressed gratitude while recalling Pydikondala Manikyala Rao’s contribution as endowments minister.
