It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures, he has been transferred to the hospital for the same,” the statement from Punjab Kings read.
Reports suggest Rahul is shifted to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai for medical care. He is still complaining of severe abdominal pain.
The young player will be undergoing medical surgery in a day or two and his road to recovery will determine his availability. The franchise expects him to be up and running in 10-12 days. An official announcement is awaited though.
Rahul is currently second on the list of highest scoring batsmen in the ongoing season of IPL. He has scored 331 runs till now and is next only to Shikhar Dhawan who has been in fine form himself.
