Telugu Desam Party on Monday wrote a letter to the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad Professor Sundaravalli Narayanaswami urging her and her team to study the alleged corruption by Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

This comes four days after the Andhra Pradesh government roped in IIM-Ahmedabad to work with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to curb corruption in various government departments.

This is what TDP wrote in that letter:

'It is with great pleasure that we from the TDP welcome you and your esteemed team from IIM-Ahmedabad to study structural issues in relation to corruption in Andhra Pradesh Government. We are confident that your team would complete the study in a fixed time period and would give actionable suggestions to fight graft in Andhra Pradesh.

“In this context, we would like to bring to your notice certain examples of corruption that would be helpful for the current study. It would be worthwhile to study and understand the wealth amassed by the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy through corrupt means. As you might be aware there are about 11 cases currently under process in special CBI court.

“We strongly feel that any research on corruption in the Government of India should conduct a case study on Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's corruption. They would not only provide insights about corrupt practices in governance but would also help in curtailing such acts of corruption in the future.”

CM Jagan Reddy had recently told officials at a high-level meeting that they should be aggressive in the fight against corruption.
