The ministers and officials of the Government of Telangana, have been stating that the COVID positive cases in the state have hit the plateau and are under control. But the situation doesn’t seem so. People are dying due to lack of ventilators, shortage of beds and oxygen cylinders in the state and the government says that everything is under control. The state has been facing criticism from its people and it is high time that the officials bring things back in control and reveal the actual state of the state.
Former director-general for prisons and advisor to Punjab government VK Singh has criticized the Telangana government for underplaying the pandemic situation in the state. Singh alleged the government was fudging figures. “ People are dying due to the unavailability of beds, oxygen, ICU beds, ventilators and require medicine in Telangana. There is no speed testing in the state,” he said.
The former DG even said that the Government of Telangana should learn from their neighboring states Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on how to deal with the pandemic. He even said that the health infrastructure has been neglected for 60 years now and it needs rework. The situation the pandemic in India is getting worse with each passing day.
