New Delhi: AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of keeping silent while BJP leaders openly made hate speeches. Owaisi's response was referring to BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma's hate speech. Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma called for a complete boycott of the Muslim community in a public speech in Delhi yesterday.

'According to rumors in Parliament, this BJP MP is closest to the Prime Minister. He is a person who enjoys great favors and confidence from the Prime Minister. That's why he dared to say what he had to say,' says Owaisi. 'Narendra Modi is Prime Minister for all, not just those who voted for him or adhere to the divisive Hindutva ideology. But, unfortunately, the Prime Minister will not speak. Others will speak, but it will not make any impact on the people,' Owaisi added.

Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma yesterday asked his supporters to a total boycott of the Muslim community. They replied that they agreed. 'If we want to mend their heads, if we want to set them straight, the only remedy is a total boycott wherever you see it. Raise your hand if you agree,' the BJP MP said at the event in Delhi. In the incident, the Delhi Police registered a case and registered an FIR for organizing the event without permission. However, no case has been filed for hate propaganda.

'The police will never act against any BJP leader. This is a regular occurrence. The BJP has adopted a policy of making any call for genocide with impunity.' Owaisi also said that the same MP had earlier (in 2020) made a remark that started the Delhi riots.
